It could be the first in Its kind. So far I haven’t seen any keyboard dedicated to Amharic or other Ethiopian languages. It has been developed by collaboration of Ethiotrans.com and Large Format Computing. Large Format computing has been doing other languages such as East Asian and  Middle East languages. Large Format computing supports more than 230 languages. You can but the whole languages pack or individuals can buy a single language. If you are a service provider have clients from different countries you can buy a language set.
It is the first as long as I know and as far as I asked several people I/we asked
It has multiple functionality  as a keyboard and as a graphics tablet to enter signature and to take notes
The price will be come down as the hardware price get cheaper.
It is easy to install, easy to take it from place to place with your laptop or to use it in your  office or at home The leaning curve is really short.  Any one with a basic computer skill and the Amharic Fedel Gebeta will master the software with in few minutes Since the software is build on UNICODE standard it will have a great chance it will be comparable with other Amharic software makers as long as the that software is build on UNICODE, Which is the future.
UNICODE is the core element which will drive the software.
